Mohawk Mega Reunion 2008

The Mohawk Central School Reunion Committee is planning the Mega Reunion, that will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds in Frankfort. The reunion is about old friends, and is open to anyone that attended, taught, or worked at MCS. This "ain't" your average class reunion! The excitement is growing over this event, and we expect a HUGE turnout. Come enjoy a fantastic buffet (including choice of slow roasted roast beef or oven roasted breast of turkey accompanied by gravy, garlic buttered mashed potatoes, seasoned greens, mixed autumn vegetables, chicken riggies, tossed garden salad, dinner rolls with butter)served by PK's Pub, entertainment, cash bar & most of all--old friends. Paid tickets will also include entry into the mega reunion's "mega 50/50 raffle" and donation to an MCS Alumni Scholarship. Aren't there people that you have lost touch with, wonder what they're up to, and would love to see again? Well, they will be there--and so should you! This is also Homecoming weekend for the school, with many home athletic events for various boys and girls teams on the schedule. We will be having tours of the school on Saturday morning , and a pancake breakfast at the cafeteria during the tours is being planned.
Friday night will be ticket pick up at the American Legion. Plan on stopping in to pick up your packet, and have a drink and some laughs with your fellow alumni.
The entertainment for the reunion has been scheduled. We will be having continuous entertainment at the reunion beginning at 4:00 PM. There will be an outside stage as well as an inside stage.
The following will be playing: Now & Then, John Seymour, The Legends of Rock & Roll, Mud Bug Uprising, Licketysplit(with Circus), and Northern Lights.

We will be selling raffle tickets for some great prizes. The first prize is a handmade quilt by EJ. The second is a basket of cheer. We will have several 3rd prizes. Anyone wishing to donate handcrafted (or new) items for the prize raffle or sell raffle tickets should contact the committee. The prize raffle winners will be drawn on October 1st.

We would like to put together a powerpoint presentation for the mega reunion. Anyone that would like to have old photos considered for inclusion should send them to Rachel Stead at megareunionpics@gmail.com. The photos need to be sent in jpeg format. Questions? Contact Rachel.
The next committee meeting will be on Tuesday, September 9th at 6:30 P.M. at the Legion. Anyone wishing to join in on the planning, or to lend a hand is more than welcome to attend. Any positive input would also be greatly appreciated.

MAILING HAS BEEN SENT OUT
We have sent the invitations out for those alumni and staff that we had mailing information for(close to 3,000). The following class years were not included in the mailing, either because of no class representative, or mailing lists received after the mailing was processed:1956, 1975, 1976, 1980, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004. If you didn't receive your bright orange invite in the mail, please print the registration form from this website and send it in.
